If it's not one thing...

Pregnancy gives me the lovely gift of acid reflux, it feels like my throat is on fire. Tums have become a very close friend of mine but when I have access to it, milk cools off the raging inferno. Last night I went to the fridge to grab a small glass of milk to cure that nights reflux, I took a sip and frowned. It wasn't cold, it was just above room temperature. The fridge has been an item on the "To Replace (when we have money)" List. The seal on the door is kind of off and you have to kick the door shut to make sure it seals at all. So I thought maybe the door hadn't been closed tight enough, finished off my milk and went back to bed to read. That's when my brain started to nag me, what if it wasn't the seal...what if the fridge had died and everything in the fridge would spoil before we noticed tomorrow morning. It's happened before - this is our second fridge since moving into the house seven years ago. Regardless both have been second hand...but still.... So I get up, walk back into the kitchen and pull open the fridge door. I grab the gallon of milk, warm. I reach further back into the fridge where a bottle of water was placed. Warm. Cursing, I shut the door and yanked open the freezer door. That was all the proof I needed that our fridge decided enough was enough and kicked the bucket. "Jason!" He came into the kitchen and inspected the sight, we grabbed some shopping bags, packed up all the food and shelped it off to the garage fridge where we did our best to shove everything into the side by side fridge. At least our food was safe for now. This morning I got up for work, got myself ready and went to the garage to fill Dayne's morning bottle with milk, I opened the door to be greeted by a puddle of pickle juice pooling on a shelf. Jason had put the bags into the fridge without unpacking and the pickle jar sat on its side all night, draining it of its juice. If it's not one thing...it's another. So today was spent frantically checking prices at stores by us for a new fridge. At least it's one thing to cross off our "To Replace" list...
